Fomalhaut is a bright star rested in the constellation Piscis Austrinus the Southern Fish. Fomalhaut is considered to be the "lonely star," due to not being surrounded by very many other bright stars. Fomalhaut is a bright white star, 17th brightest star in the sky and it's very close to Jupiter. The best time to see Fomalhaut is during autumn during mid-evening, so around 8 or 9 p.m. Fomalhaut sits low on the southeast horizon, latitude 50th north parallel.
